Caitlinn & Tim's wedding was a beacon of hope and joy in the midst of these challenging times. Caitlinn, Tim, and I met for the first time for their engagement session in the North End in Boston last December. We frolicked through Christopher Columbus Park, explored the storefront of the Black Rose (their favorite bar), and snuck over to the Faneuil Hall holiday tree:
Caitlinn is very outspoken and assertive, while Tim is strong and quiet. It's also really hard for Tim to participate in any and all PDAs, so the engagement session was a little rough for him. We had to keep reminding him to lean in and squeeze his future bride, and had to bribe him for quick kisses (there was ample cheering involved), and I'll admit, I was worried that their first kiss after they were married would be a quick peck, rather than a longer, intimate one.
Well, everyone, Tim KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. Can we say "GQ Model" to describe him? He was absolutely amazing for all the wedding photos, from start of the day with details, to the cake cutting and dancing. There were *many* un-promted kisses!
Caitlinn and Tim got ready at the Quincy Marriott, and the rooms were fantastic. Erin was my co-photographer, and covered Tim and his group, while I worked with Caitlinn and her group. Caitlinn's dress is from Alexandra's Bridal Boutique in Fall River.

The groom and his groomsmen arrived at the church a little early, so Erin grabbed some photos of them. While that was happening, Caitlinn had a first look with her dad and Tim's mom in her hotel room.
We took a few more photos at the hotel, and then the bridesmaids, brides, parents, and I made our way to the the church: Saint John the Baptist Parish. Caitlinn & Tim had a full length mass. The church roped off which pews (skipping every other row) guests could sit in, and made sure everyone was masked. The service was beautiful, and the singer and hymns were simply amazing.
After the ceremony, we took a few more photos in front of the church, and then headed to the Tirrell Room for the reception. The sun had already set, and we hadn't gotten too much sun since just before the ceremony had started due to cloud cover and the after-effects of the tropical storm.
Although we didn't have a lot of sunset, the lack of strong sun allowed the Blue Hills Reservation to pop in the photos, and create a beautiful background. The Tirrell Room overlooks the Blue Hills on a really clear day, but when it's sunny, or hot and hazy, they're almost invisible. I'd like to think that the hills were Caitlinn's "something blue" (although she had plenty of blue accents too!).
The Tirrell Room was fantastic about safety and abiding by protocols. The entire reception was outdoors, the dancing was very far apart due to the size of their grassy lawn, and the bar and meal service was so quick (brought to all guests, no line-up service for drinks). All vendors and service workers wore masks, and guests were respectful of safety measures.
