A South Shore Coastline Mini-mony

On June 12th, Caitlyn and Tyler tied the knot at a beautiful sunset ceremony in Marshfield, MA. Tyler was already dressed and waiting on the front porch with friends and family as Caitlyn got ready in a bedroom upstairs. Their summer-themed wedding cake waited in the kitchen for their small reception after their ceremony.

The home's wrap-around porch provided a beautiful space for Tyler's getting ready photos, while the ocean-view bedroom upstairs kept Caitlyn hidden so the couple could prepare for their first look. During the getting ready photos, Teddy the Goldendoodle (on IG at @oodlesofteddydoodle), stole the show with his dapper suit collar and cuff links.

Caitlyn and Tyler chose to have a first look. Due to the shape of the ceremony space, I had Tyler face the ocean while Caitlyn snuck through the gate and walked up behind him. With the sun setting, there were beautiful contours and shadows, as well as a sunset glow. Caitlyn called Tyler's name and he was stunned when he saw her in her dress. Tyler's reaction was pretty priceless.

After the first look, we spent about 20 minutes taking family photos by the trellis. At the top of the hour, we cleared the ceremony space, got chairs set up, and sent Caitlyn back to the house to grab her father so he could walk her across the street to walk down the grassy aisle.

The ceremony was beautiful, from the words spoken by the justice of the peace, to the colorful sky and seagulls calling.

After the couples said "I do," we celebrated by taking more family and group photos (obviously looking to feature Teddy some more).

Tyler's brother surprised the couple by arranging a "drive-by" celebration from a handful of close friends. It was so heartwarming to see everyone cheering and blowing kisses from their car windows, passing over wedding presents and cards.

At the end of my time with Caitlyn and Tyler, we hopped back to the ceremony site, overlooking the ocean, to grab a few last couples portraits while the sun set. We attempted a champagne pop, with limited explosive success, but the best facial expressions from Tyler while Caitlyn worked to pop the cork!

Congratulations Caitlyn & Tyler!
